What is Integrative Medicine

Integrative medicine is a holistic approach to health and healing.  Promoting wellness and preventing disease in the most natural way possible are the goals of care.  Physicians who practice integrative medicine often have extra training in mind body medicine, nutrition, herbs and natural supplements, Chinese medicine, and Ayurveda.

Home Sleep Apnea Test (HSAT)

An overnight sleep study performed in the comfort of your own home during which breathing, heart rate and position are monitored to test if you have obstructive sleep apnea.  A HSAT will be provided to you if you meet qualifications based upon medical insurance standards.  Sleep Life Med does not perform overnight sleep studies in the clinic and partners with accredited sleep laboratories in Hawaii.

Insomnia Treatment

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is the recommended treatment for chronic insomnia based upon guidelines from the American Academy of Sleep Physicians.   At Sleep Life Med individual or group classes are available.  Dr. Cacho does not prescribe sleeping pills for chronic insomnia and provides a supportive holistic approach to insomnia.  The roots of difficulty sleeping can be found in the misalignment of the mind, body and soul.  Dr. Cacho helps guide you through a rebalancing process to help you sleep naturally and peacefully.
